Whether you believe in climate change or not, there is a clear evidence that in the last few years Ontario experienced several tornado touchdowns and winds exceeding wind loads in our building codes. Consequences were quite severe and considering that the buildings were not designed for intensity of actual winds, potential future damages could be even worse.
